Have you been thinking about getting back on the open road? Of returning to a coach driving or local delivery trucking career? Has it been a couple of years since you last put your hands on a big rig or been behind the wheel of a school bus or commercial vehicle of any kind? Sounds like you could use a refresher to revive your trucking career.
This truck driving refresher course program is all hands-on driving and is designed to re-introduce drivers to the trucking industry.
As a student of our CDL refresher training program, you’ll reacquaint yourself with:
- Modern long-haul trucking equipment or current coach and commercial trucking equipment
- Truck driver operations, tracking hours of service, defensive driving habits and safety procedures
- State and federal laws concerning over-the-road hauling
- Trip planning strategies to ensure the successful completion of your drive
- Everything you need to restart your trucking career
This isn’t classroom time. This truck driver training program is a 100% hands-on skills refresher — you behind the wheel of a rig out on the road or at our state-of-the-art truck driving range. Depending on which commercial driver license or permit you hold — Class A CDL or Class B CDL — your time will be spent on range or road operations covering how to conduct pre-trip inspections, passenger safety, cargo security, backing, city driving, basic control, visual search, speed and space management, progressive shifting and extreme driving.
In short, you’ll learn everything you need to know to restart your career.
